BULLHEAD CITY RIVER REGATTA

KAYAK, CANOE  AND STANDUP PADDLEBOARD RACE/FLOAT

This is an 11-mile race on the Colorado River below Davis Dam.  The water is moving but flat and we expect good flows on the day of the race.  The Race is sponsored by the City of Bullhead City.  Winners in past years have finished  in 1 hour 4 minutes and the last person finished in 2 hours 45 minutes.  You should be able to self-rescue if you capsize while on the river.

1.  The Race will begin at Davis Camp on the North Beach closest to the Davis Dam.  You may drop your boats off beginning at 5 A.M. and you will be directed to place your boats in specific areas depending on which class your boat belongs in.

2.  After you drop off your boat and gear drive your shuttle vehicle to Rotary Park and park in the Non Motorized Boat Launch Parking Area.  A shuttle bus will bring you back to Davis Camp in time for the beginning of the Race.  The buses will leave that area beginning at 6 A.M.  and return you directly to the race site.

3.  Please check in with the staff at the table and get your number and safety pin.  Please wear the number on the front of your PFD so we can tell who you are when you cross the finish line. 

4.  Once you have landed, please bring your vehicle to the landing area at Don Sullivan Park and remove your boat.

5.  Awards will be made at Rotary Park with a time and place announced prior to the race.

STANDUP  PADDLEBOARD SPRINT RACE

This is a 4 mile sprint race from Davis Camp to south of the Bullhead City Chamber of Commerce building.  The race starts at 7.30 A.M.  The Race is Sponsored by the City of Bullhead City. We anticipate that the winner will cross the finish line in under 20 minutes and the last finisher will arrive under and hour.

1.  You will bring your boards to Davis Camp beginning at 5 A.M..  Because parking is limited at Community Park you will be shuttled back to Davis Camp once you complete your race. Look for the 15 passenger vans with kayak trailers on behind.

2.  Awards will be made at Rotary park with a time and place announced prior to the race.
